The last few months I have written about some goals I wanted to achieve this year. As I mentioned, I'll give you an update next month on those 2021 goals. This month, however, I wanted to write about one of my newest passions: Poshmark! Now, I know it sounds vain, but hear me out. March was so Posh.
As only some of you know, I'm an avid collector. Specifically, a Coach handbag collector. I've been collecting Coach items for about 10 years now and my collection is now valued in the five-digits. I don't say that to brag, but candidly, I'm really proud of that. Designer handbags are art; they only appreciate in value and the craftmanship that goes into crafting them is artwork. With that said, something I started in 2020 was creating an inventory catalog of all my Coach bags and accessories... mainly so I knew what I had and where it was! With the help of sharing these Coach treasures with a like-minded community on Poshmark, I completed cataloguing every Coach item in my collection; just today.
As I was creating and developing my personally curated catalog, I started to take the first few steps of my Poshmark journey. Ironically, a stranger on an airplane told me I should open one years ago, so it's only natural I think of her now. We began speaking after she complimented my Coach carry-on. I shared some items in my collection and she told me the Coach bags were sure to be a hit on Poshmark... and they are. I opened a Poshmark account, I created my closet, I shared my passion and now, I'm boutique-certified.
In March, I went in. I made Poshing one of my priorities. I've made over a dozen (plus 4) sales and posted about 130 items. Although it's primary function is a hub to sell designer clothes and accessories, Poshmark surprised me with the community of fashion-driven collector with an interest to buy, sell and most importantly, share. That's why I love Poshmark, it's a strong community of entrepreneurial spirits with a passion for clothing, bags and accesories. How Posh! Along with my Poshmark, I started posting stunning pictures of my Coach collection (and more!) on the Jon Jon Vault instagram page, which I started solely to share these collector pieces. If you'd like to visit my Poshmark closet, please click here. If you'd like to follow my Jon Jon Vault instagram, please click here.
As I mentioned, Poshmark was a unique surprise in 2020, but it's been a blessing. With this last month bringing the most momentum to my close, I must day, March was Posh. Chat next month, kittens.
