There is a new dispensary in town and it's a smoking gun; it is literally called Smokin' Gun. The Smokin' Gun Apothecary is Glendale's newest pot shop owned and operated by the Shotgun Willie's Enterprise, housed in the same parking lot. This new marijuana dispensary is just what the cannabis community needed on Colorado [Boulevard]. On top of solid business savviness, the Shotgun ownership has continued to maintain both a profitable, yet friendly, relationship with the township. Mike Dunafon, the mayor, hosted one of their promotional videos, too. After Mary Jon's horrendous experience at Emerald Fields Cannaboutique, Smokin' Gun was pleasant surprise - with comparable hours, friendly staff and almost the same location - minus the mania. Despite having another dispensary across the street, Smokin' Gun has made a niche for itself in the saturated marijuana industry.
Located in the heart of Glendale, Colorado, the Smokin' Gun Apothecary is easily accessible, has safe & ample parking and is more than a dispensary. Smokin' Gun is a marijuana museum, too. Driving up to the dispensary, there is a valet port held up by two pillars, in the form of lit joints. The bud branding is clean and stood out, which is a rarity in the recreational weed market. At first glance, Shotgun's newest venture was worth a shot.

The security guarding the parking lot, the man at check-in and the rest of the team inside had smiles on their faces and were thrilled that they had another visit, another rarity in this industry. Nonetheless, the Smokin' Gun knows how to take care of their guests. As mentioned, the Smokin' Gun is not only an apothecary "lighting the way," but is also a mini-museum.
As one of the Smokin' Gun team member Stephanie indicated in a webisode, it is the first dispensary that "represents freedom and liberty." The "mari-seum" stays true to that theme. Part dispensary, part exhibit, the Smokin' Gun Apothecary is old school in the best way possible. As Dee, a leader in the shop and Colorado native, says in a viral video "walking into this place [Smokin' Gun Apothecary] is like walking into a time capsule." There are numerous references to marijuana prohibition, with a giant jail cell and bank teller booths from the 1870s. There are even consequences of marijuana smoking hanging from the walls. The theme stays true to 1870, five years prior to when the war on drugs began. Astonishingly, prior to ganja prohibition, it was not uncommon for someone to order heroin or opium, according to one of their promotional vids. The jail cell is a prominent feature - highlighting that in 1941-Mississippi, a visitor would have received a life sentence for purchasing a joint. It's like a walk down counter-culture history. The Smokin' Gun hits the bullseye on theme.

The facilities, along with product and brand, are a vital piece to any business. The Shotgun Willie's creative minds have done it again. This dispensary is clean, classy, contemporary and cannabis-centric. Similar to one of the best dispensaries in Denver, Native Roots Apothecary, the Smoking Gun Apothecary stays true to the look and feel that is authentic.

Furthering their understanding for the brand, there was a cherry on top. After making the Mary Jane purchase, the manager put the product in a beautiful bag with colorful lime green tissue paper. It is the little details such as this bag that is not only classy, but creative. Just when you thought that this "mari-seum" couldn't get better, it does. The branding is f****** on point that from space, the dispensary looks like the outline of a gun.
Bang. The Smokin' Gun is yur best shot, if you're in Colorado.
