RuPaul's DragCon Los Angeles 2018

Los Angles can be such a drag! At least it certainly was this weekend.

This weekend was the fourth annual extravaganza, RuPaul's DragCon Los Angeles. This year's festivities were presented by RuPaul and World of Wonder Productions' Randy Barbato and Fenton Bailey. This three day event is the largest drag convention in the world. #ThatPodcast hosts, myself and LPiddy, were invited to RuPaul's DragCon LA.

In attendance were over 50,000 visitors and almost 100 queens from the hit show RuPaul's Drag Race. Sprinkled among them were celebrity entertainers known both locally and internationally. #ThatPodcast was able to chat with 16 queens! LPiddy and Jon Jon of That Podcast chat with Dida Ritz, BenDelaCreme, Valentina, Miz Cracker, Blair St. Clair, Kimora Blac, Gillian Jacobs, April Carrion, Cynthia Lee Fontaine, Yuhua Hamasaki, Trinity K. Bonet, Vanessa Vanjie Mateo, Asia O'Hara, Monet X. Change, Darienne Lake and Tammie Brown. It was a blast interviewing these stars alongside some other amazing members of the press & media community.

The hosts also strolled through the convention on Saturday and Sunday. When walking through DragCon LA it is not hard to locate and even meet stars of RuPaul's Drag Race. Some of the lines were short and quick, where others were more lengthy. There was even a legendary opportunity to meet RuPaul herself this year.

Along the path were also Fagsy Malone, Glozell Green, Michelle Visage, Ross Matthews, Sheryl Lee Ralph, Sophia Loren, to name just a few. It was on this adventure that LPiddy and Jon Jon caught live interviews with queens, Monet X. Change, Asia O'Hara, Darienne Lake and Tammie Brown, available here.

The event garnered people from all different backgrounds. The most refreshing piece of the weekend was the children. There were so many creative and expressive kids that were walking the giant DragCon at the Los Angeles Convention Center.

On Sunday, LPiddy and Jon Jon rocked out the remainder of their interviews with their celebrity guests and stars from RuPaul's Drag Race.
