The Gay vs. Straight comedy show is truly "the little show that could." The show, created by one of Denver's most prominent improvisers, Sarah Kirwin, has had huge success since its beginning at Eden- a local bar and restaurant. The show was picked up by Denver's largest LGBT nightclub and has run at Tracks Denver since 2013. The hit show sells out monthly and is Denver's premier gay-friendly improv comedy show. Gay vs. Straight has been featured at the Denver Improv Festival and the sold out EXDO New Year's Eve show, opening for RuPaul's Drag Race stars Pandora Boxx, Nina Flowers, Chad Michaels, Latrice Royale and Michelle Visage.
The show concept is a crowd pleaser! Gay vs. Straight Comedy is a monthly improv comedy show that features comedy battles of straight sass and queer funnies. The show plays at Tracks Nightclub. The winner is determined by a "non-partial bisexual judge." Each month there are new teams and new challenges to test mental and physical strength just to see how funny they really are.
The show is hosted and directed by Sarah Kirwin. Emily Tarquin acts as producer for Gay vs. Straight. Members of the recurring cast include Natalie Kilkenny, Jon Jon Lannen, Michelle Marlowe and Chris Woolf. The featured players have had an array of talented improv comedians, including Jessica Austgen, Linnea Brutlag, Leanne Jewell, Jaimie Kulikowski, Cindy Laudadio-Hill, Megan Miles, Chris Parente, Stuart Sanks, Ashley Scroggins, Britt Swenson, Kent Welborn, Jason Wenger, Ryan Williams and more!
